    Default languge support

I don't know if this question should go here but here I go, does anyone know if android will be able to display chinese, japanese, and korean characters and also if you would be able to input these like in the iphone. I know they had some app to make flash cards and it had chinese characters on them but I'm not sure if the app allows you to make your own flash cards (which would mean that they were able to input chinese characters) or if you have to download a specific premade ones.

There's talk about NTT DoCoMo releasing a handset in Japan so I would think unicode is built-in. The iPhone now has emoji support in version 2.2 so here's to hoping that that will make it's way to Android along with some form of portable Mixi application to access/upload to my mixi account while I'm traveling.

Please use the search function next time, there have been multiple threads on language support, one even has the exact same title as yours:

Don't be too thrilled, there is no native Japanese input support yet, it only natively supports displaying Japanese characters. What I did was use copy and paste from websites. If you can find a website that offers Japanese input online then you can use that and copy & paste to input Japanese. Make sure it outputs the Japanese in a textbox so you can copy it. This is the work-around I offered for Chinese.

The good news is that that there are two Japanese carriers which are on the Open Handset Alliance, so eventually there will be a Japanese Android phone, so at that time probably Japanese input will be supported. Just don't expect to be able to input Japanese out of the box on the phone (though again there is a work-around for it).
