Can someone give me a step by step to do bootscreens, I want to use a photo of my car as the first and me and my girl as the second. I have root thanks to a fellow AC member but am new to putting boot screens. Any help would be appreciated.

Those are the instructions to follow:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=456071

Before you begin (in linux, i don't know about windows):
    () your images must be
    -----) 320 pixels(width) by 480 pixels(height)
    -----) 8 bit color scheme
    -----) .png format

() have the driver for the G1 installed
() compile android from source on your computer (compiling is slow)

after all of that, then you can begin.

This thread over at XDA is much simpler, I did my 2 boot screens in less than 5 minutes, in Windows:

I got the first one done but can't get the second one. When I place the converted file into bootloader. It just replaces the first image? What am I doing wrong?

You work your magic like this

    fastboot flash splash1 [rename your 1st image].rgb565
    fastboot flash splash2 [rename your 2nd image].rgb565

That way you don't have to overwrite your first image
