Is the HTC magic the HTC sapphire??

Now that the htc magic is announced for vodaphone is this the same model as the sapphire that is supposed to be coming to US tmobile? im confused? This phone looks like everything the g1 should of been are we gonna have to wait for something else now?

From what I can tell it's just a G1 without a keyboard and cupcake but I haven;t looked that close...

Also the stories I skimmed yesterday were kind of leading to tMobile changing their announced line-up for 09 and possibly going for bigger HTC models.

Also I believe that the vodafone G2 was labeled as exclusive...? Not sure though..

apparently it's not exclusive. I am sure they can sell variations of it elsewhere- hence optus in Australia getting the HTC Dream this week..... if you look at the HTC 2009 roadmap you will see there are quite a few variations of a lot of the phones...so why couldn't they do it for others.....

According to the Engadget announcement article, they mentioned that its frequencies weren't compatible with US Networks. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if that gets changed on release or not.
