Is it possible to change your linked gmail account or do you have to do a phone reset

I used a new gmail address to test out the phone when I first got it. I already started to install apps, etc, so I was wondering if its possible to change my gmail address I initially linked the phone with. I planned on resetting the phone and starting fresh, but changing just the email would save me time of reinstalling apps.

1. select menu -> settings -> applications -> manage applications

2. scroll down and click "Google Apps"

3. click the "Clear data" button (you will receive a warning, click OK)

4. go back to home screen

5. pull down the notification menu and click on the message "Your account must be updated"

6. follow the onscreen instruction until you get to where it asks you to "create" or "sign in", click "sign in" and enter YOUR new Google account info.

Turn on a screen lock pattern and practically no one could use your phone. Possibly you, if you forget the pattern. Do not set while drunk/stoned!

Worked for me!

The only thing is I did not get a notification message - step 5.

Instead, when I opened the "Market" app, I was prompted for my Google Account information.

Do you need to be connected to 3g to do this? Can we can use only wifi to sign in to my google account?

each time a description of the change, there is always plenty to talk about around the world. they are not exempt. a statement usually are: "i have to change almost immediately versions, so do not expect me to date continue to attack ..
