Default Is Gizmodo just in love with steve jobs?

And the picture on this web page isn't any better. Does anyone realize that leaving things out that can be created by developers makes this phone much cheaper than it should be and that its a good thing?

    T-mobile g1, t-mobile g1 glaring flaws, g1, android, google...

While I was more impressed by the T-Mobile G1 than I thought I'd be, the list of catches for Android and the phone are quickly piling up—some that might very well be dealbreakers. Topping the list, it's tightly integrated with your Google account—so tightly that you can only use one Google account with the phone. If you want to switch to another account, you have to do a whole factory reset. Update: T-Mobile has patched up some of them—the 1GB cap is gone, and they'll unlock the phone for you after 90 days.

Matt Buchanan doesn't seem to be as apple fanboy as some on Gizmodo. It really depends on who writes the articles. Some writers there are obviously very big apple fans.

Here's another article from him and it seems quite balanced.

They forgot to mention we have copy and paste.

Also, that article was written on the day of announcement, with very few retractions and edits. We have learned a lot more about the device through early user experiences, and a lot of the shortcomings he mentioned have simple work-arounds that, in the end, make this phone better than iPhone...in my opinion.

Lol wow though that 1gb cap idea was gay. Glad they took it off, because I'd feel ripped off to spend that much a month and then getting capped.

user beware, i'm assuming you will get capped at a certain point... although they say unlimited web usage, thats for a typical internet user, not your heavy bit torenter

1 GB though? Really? I realize I am just on EDGE, but...

It's been at LEAST a month since I last re-imaged my iPhone with new software (which resets the data received counter).

My current counter reads Cellular Network Data Received: 27.8 MB.

That's 28MB in over a month...do people realize how much a GB is, especially on cell networks???

I agree people did overreact slightly about the 1gb cap, but I can see where it'd be a problem. They're showing off it's marketplace, browsing, and youtube features. Youtube can eat up 1gb pretty fast. 1gb cap only gives you 33mb a day which can be destroyed pretty easily by youtube.
