Default Inserting sim into phone other than G1

(i already searched the forum and didnt find anything on this..)

Hi, i have a G1 and i was just wandering if i were to place my sim card in a t-mobile or unlocked blackberry curve would the current plan that is for G1's work with a blackberry or would i have to switch my plan?

The only reason i would be switching phones like this is for if my battery were to die, i can have my blackberry always charged and ready just in case..

It will work, as long as the APN info on the Curve is right.

I tried this with a T-Mobile Pearl 8100. I changed the BlackBerry APN to epc.tmobile.com and put in my G1 SIM. Data features seem to be working fine so far!

Look at your G1 APN then copy the G1 APN and put it in your blackberry APN slots.

is this still true that it should work? I remember reading something was changing with their data plans and blackberry/smartphones would require different data plans than the G1. I just tried swapping my SIM on an unlocked Fuze with the same APN settings as my G1 (epc.tmobile.com) and it was a no go. Any suggestions?
