Default Inefficient Release of Data on "Cupcake" Update

Just wanted to share my thoughts. I really enjoy the g1 for what it is and all of its functionality. However, when pictures and video of an update ("cupcake") are released and hyped before the actual release date, it is very frustrating. It is frustrating in the fact that I now know the true potential of this phone and am not able to experience it. From now on, don't make any announcements of an update until it has been thoroughly tested and is available to the general public for usage.
No one is at fault for whining/complaining when they are informed that improvements to the operating system are available but they have not been released.
Next time, act with some professionalism, and don't hype up and advertise g1 improvements if the release date is uncertain!

    Welcome to AC.

This is probably something you should share with T-Mobile and Google.

We have another thread based on Cupcake news/rumors, but as long as people stay on the PR angle Google/Tmo have taken or not taken, we'll allow this as a separate thread.

TMobile and Google haven't "hyped" anything. The only people hyping the update and getting their panties in a bunch are impatient users.

The only thing ever said by Google was it would be in the 1st quarter of '09. After they said that, people started pinning their hopes on January for no other reason than that is what they wanted to believe.

For those hyping it up and now disappointed it didn't show in January, you have nobody but yourselves to blame for the hype you created on your own.

Yay, let's whine about those who whine about a highly publicized update in this instant news state of today

We should be thankful we can get such detailed info as quckly as we do

Don't talk about updates or new features eh? Good luck with that one - It sounds liek you should just go to my.tmobile.com and spend some time just surfing the product specs and features pages - not androidcommunity.com

Return your phone and get a Razor, that's the phone you deserve.

There is a cupcake application in the marketplace for you.
