Icon in notification bar

up by the time i sometimes get an icon of two arrows in a circle...no idea what it is. im sure someone here does

Your phone is syncing up with the server. Calendar, contacts, stuff like that.

maybe a syncing notification?

Yes, it's the sync-in-progress icon. It's also mentioned in the user's guide

i checked there first. must have missed it

no worries. the only reason I recognized it for what it is was due to my history with ActiveSync :P
