This is my first smart phone - Android Galaxy Precedent. As soon as I bought it, charged it and activated it, I spent an hour putting all of my contacts in (I know this sounds ridiculous, but I'm not used to this type of keyboard). Once I finished, I realized it had synced my gmail to my phone and was showing all of my email's contacts in my normal contacts. I did not want this, so I [un-synced] it. When I returned to my contacts, they were ALL gone. When I search in my text message screen, I can find them. However, when I go to make a phone call and I search for one, it tells me "no results," and asks me to "search all contacts." When I do this, the contact I search for is STILL not available, but the gmail contacts pop up again... Where are my contacts hidden? Why are my gmail contacts still popping up even after I [un-synced] the account? It DID stop notifying me when I have a new email, which I don't like but would be okay with if it had stopped messing with my contacts.

Another issue (I'm sorry to bombard everyone): my phone works slowly a lot. How do I set it so that my downloads go onto my SD card rather than my phone? How do I move the downloads I already have onto the SD card?

I hope someone can help me, I would really appreciate it. I'm so lost.
