    Default How to tell if Apps2Sd is actually working?


    I have the astro file viewer... Just wondering where to look to make sure apps from the market are being automatically installed to my sd... ? Thanks

    well if you install a big app and then go peek into settings and then internal memory left, and see that none of the memory has gone down, then that pretty much means the app is stored on your card

    Crap- well I didn't look at my memory before I installed so now I can't compare... Any other way? Thanks

    doesn't matter...just look now, note it, go download a big ass program, like pac man, then recheck

    what rom are you running? did you move dalvik? cache too?

    I just completed the app2sd tutorials on a brand new phone (of course after rooting, etc.). So I didn't have to move any programs cuz I didn't download any yet at the time. Running modified JF 1.51 by cyanogen.

    I have no idea what dalvik cache is...

    Also, when I look at available space in settings, for "internal phone storage" it shows 892 mb, which can't be right... I have my 2 gig sd card formatted for 1gb for 2 partitions. Maybe its thinking one of those partitions is the internal storage?

    Looks like it is working for you then. Looks like you are doing the unionfs method and not the symlink method.

    ^ Thanks. So how do I move the dalvik-cache now? If its only usually around 30mb, is it even worth moving? Thanks

    since you're using uniofs, I wouldn't worry about anything else lol
