How to save battery life

I read on another forum that you can turn off the 3g and use only edge and it will save you like 10 times the battery life. Does anyone know how to do this?

yes its true. also cut the screen brightness down.
from the home screen hit settings.wireless controls, mobile networks, and check box for 2g only networks. and cut off wifi when not in use.

Settings > Wireless > Lock to 2G

go to settings then wireless controls then mobile networks then select to use only 2g networks.

i have it set to only 2g, turn off bluetooth and wifi also

turn off the satellite gps if its on

turn off auto sync on data syncronization

Might as well reboot if you're done using it for a little while. Only way we know for certain to kill all the background apps.
