I know I used to be able to, using a 3rd party app, on my ATT Tilt...Just thought it was a possibility on this as well.

video player (not Plays Videos) disabled the led while you're playing a video.. which is great so you don't have to watch the blinking green light while watching the movie...

The LED lights hardly even drain any battery do you really need them to be shut off?

Just upgraded from the Sprint Mogul to the G1 and have this same question... any progress on determining how to disable the LED notifications?

In reply to those asking "why" and whether one "really needs" to disable the LED, I would say that everyone has a preference and some of us PREFER to have the LED disabled. That should be the end of the inquiry.

I CHOOSE to disable it. Enough said.

I had the LED disabled on my Mogul and I would like the same absence of annoying blinking lights on my G1. Even if, as one poster above claims, the LED has only minimal drain on the battery, even only MINIMAL drain is still drain and ANY drain that can be avoided is a good enough reason to me to disable this "feature" that has little value and is more of a nuisance than benefit.

    welcome to the forum gmobile,
some people ask questions out of curiousity, i suspect that they are not with holding information on the users because they do not understand the reasoning behind one's choices.

as for my contribution to this I do not know if it is possible, however there was an app (or more) that allowed you to change the colors and duration of the blinking. perhaps this could be adjusted in a manner to make it less noticable.

i think one was called beetracker or something like that, desertt, probably knows the name of it, i believe he had an amount on conversation with the developer, dt do you remember the app i speak of?

i feel the need to say that i find the LED to be a very useful feature. so useful, in fact, that i just wrote that without quotation marks. i wouldn't want a phone without an LED.

oh, that app is called "mybuzzdroid"
