How to delete Google map history?

Does anyone know how to delete the Google map histories?

when I open maps, menu/more history is not an option....

I just got my Android at TED... and it has imported some map history that must be associated to my gmail account, including searches that I don't want and will never need again.

Any suggestions?

Solved!

You can do this from the phone, or from your PC using web browser.

PC/Browser: https://www.google.com/history

Log in using the same google account that your droid does. You can manage, and even disable the 'feature' to save your searches here.

From the phone:
setting->general->search->Google Search settings->Manage Search History

Once you've hit this (Manage Search History), it opens a browser, and you manage the 'feature' the same way you would if doing it from PC/Browser.

Hint: Use the Remove Items menu to clear - link to Clear all History will pause the 'service'.

go to home>settings>Applications> Manage applications> and find Maps or google maps and select and Clear data...

Open Settings/Applications/googlemaps and click on clear cache

You can do what others have suggested and "clear data" through Settings>Apps>All>Google Maps but it will also clear out any other information you have saved (like address's etc) fyi. Here's a how to video http://www.phonebuff.com/2011/11/res...a-for-android/

None of these things work for me. I cleared my search history and disabled it at google.com/history, I cleared the Google Maps cache and data from the app and even uninstalled updates on my phone. Nothing works. Google Maps still auto-completes previous searches I've made. I have never had such a hard time doing something with a Google product or protecting my privacy.
