How fast can you type

I found this iphone typing test that works on the android.

I wonder how fast people can type this sentence:

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

These are my results:

Virtual keyboard (cupcake): ~32 wpm

Physical keyboard: ~36 wpm

my laptop keyboard: ~100 wpm :-)

As a side note... there's no way this is accurate. It just said I typed 8.8 words at a rate of 567 words per minute. That is 10 times as fast I type on a full size keyboard and I KNOW that's not right! No way!

Confirmation that it's junk...

I remained on the page, cleared out the box and did it again. This time I know I was much faster, because the first time I hit the delete key 4 times. This time I hit it zero times. And the verdict... "You typed approximately 8.8 words at a rate of 3 words per minute."

Works fine with me.

I load the site, press my finger on the blue box and type away. When I'm done, I press my finger outside the box. It will calculate my WPM.

is it easy to fool the website? Yes..

But I just wanted to get an idea of how fast people can type on their g1s.

If somebody is going to cheat, there's nothing that can be done about it.

I'm hoping that people will be honest about their results. I basically want to know if my speed is comparable to everyoneelse. If everybody is much faster then I want to find out what other people are doing so that I can increase my typing speed.

I didn't cheat at all. I typed and left the box... it gave me the bloated figure I supplied originally. I cleared the box, typed again; left the box and then got the 3 word per minute figure.

You want to define cheating for me?

Is this with the rc33 browser?

Maybe its not working correctly with that browser. I'm using the cupcake browser and it seems to be calculating the wpm correctly.
