programmers can't even get transcription programs to work, this is a long ways off
here is what i am thinking but i suck at programming right...
the android is an open phone right
what about open ppl up???
in other word an app that would be like a spoken universal translator!!!
Person A speaks Chinese or Jebrish
Person B speaks German
Person C speaks French
All of them have G1's with headset or BT on
their are all talking in their lang.
and the G1's or what ever android phone would be their "middle man" in comuncation!
that would like.... it would be like the inverse of Babel!!!!
ill sell my right to this prog... oh wait apps are free!
In all seriousness has anyone ever look into this?

dang it! arg crap!
thats the holy grail of apps, Star trek stuff. we cant even get our computers to listen to us when we ask "what time is it?"
one day maybe.
Yeah, you're looking at not only translating words but more so *recognizing* those words from a spoken language -- and FTL when you try to translate from a drunkard!

THIS GUY ROCKS! Loving his ROM so far! And for some reason, THIS impressed me!
i guess this apps is not comming any time soon... =(
i mean you would think when u call tmo they have that annoying automated lady that "understand" what u say...
=(
I am pretty sure if the app was developed it would be utilizes in much more directions before it reaches public and sees the light of the day.
That would mean UN and all other international institutions would be very hi-tech equipped. They woul be able to use hat app/program to the bare bone![]()
