Default Help needed on G1 search button issue

I got my G1 via pre-order on Monday. Everything about it is working great except the integrated search feature. By integrated search feature I mean the search box that comes up when you hit the search keyboard button while in the browser, the search widget on the home screen, etc. Whenever I do a search from there, the browser come up at the non-mobile google search page and says it can't find the page: www.google.com/ap_index.

I've had two other people with G1s try it, and when they do it, they go to the mobile google page with the search results (i.e. it works for them).

Anyone else seeing this issue? Any ideas on how to fix/debug it?

    Thanks.

First of all you need to punch yourself 3 times...

Just kidding.. no but seriously.. if that doesn't work, I would call tmobile.. I don't think there is actually a palce to set your default search settings so.. maybe your connection jacked up? You try rebooting? I know you can set your homepage but that shouldn't have anything to do with what you are describing from the search functions..

Wow I'm no help at all.. call the tMob...

It almost seems to be a problem with our phones wanting to use the non-mobile (i.e. classic) version of google. For those who aren't having the problem, they are getting taken to the mobile google page (which is my current home page).

Seemingly related, if I type www.google.com into the browser url bar, I'm taken to the same ap_index error page. That could be a clue...

I wonder if it has something to do with our online google preferences for our account (e.g. something related to iGoogle or something).
