I'm soooo confused...
But Yes,
It may take a few hours, give or take
I have G1 using O2 (rebel sim card) and I am having issues connecting to the Internet not it. I have tried several different WAP/GPRS settings and nothing has worked so far. Does it take a few hours for the settings to work maybe?
I am on O2 Simplicity contract with unlimited web bolt on and currently have the following APN settings on my G1:
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: o2web
Password: password
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: mobileweb
Password: password
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: faster
Password: web
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: faster
Password: password
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: username
Password: password
APN: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Password: password
Apparently with O2 it is contract specific so I have to have the settings for O2 simplicity, so presumably none of those are correct.
Any help would be much appreciates,
tom

It took like 12 hours for the settings to come into affect. GPRS is now working, however not sure which of the settings it is so if you have this problem and on O2 put them all in![]()

What about all the other for the o2 APN settings. should i leave all the others blank?
Can someone please help me?
Just bumping this thread in the hope of accurate settings. There's another thread knocking about and the settings from there worked fine, but all of a sudden I've lost all forms of data connection (minus wifi) so my non-wifi browsing/emailing is no longer possible.
I've tried restarting the phone, enabling data when roaming (long shot but thought it was worth a try - I'm still in the UK btw) but still nothing.
Obviously I can't call O2 because the second they find out I'm on a G1 they burst into a fit of laughter and hang up (slight exaggeration).
Hope someone can help![]()
I figured this out in case anyone else ever has the same problem.
Basically instead of having the Server and MMSC identical, I differentiated them by having the MMSC end in ':8002'.
Initially neither ended like that and I couldn't send MMS, then I tried both ending like that which worked fine for a few weeks, then suddenly failed.
So far, this combination is working perfectly.
Hi all, first post here
I just bought a second hand G1 to play with, and used http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html to enter the settings, just the APN name, username and password - don't use MMS ever but web works fine
cheers
