This is good news. I have been wondering for quite some time if Google was ever going to do anything with Grand Central.
I am sure most of you have heard of the GrandCentral voice service which allowed you to have one number forward to several other lines and had many features including call forwarding, visual voicemail, call blocking, etc. You might have also heard the Google bought out GrandCentral in 2007. Well the news is that GrandCentral has been retagged as Google Voice and will be available for free in the coming weeks.

I am excited. Especially with this connecting with the G1Central app in the market.

I have my GC->GV account, so it won't do me any good, but it would be nice for the incredibly loyal Google folks here.

I just received my invitation for Google Voice today and I have a question. I am kind of testing the waters (and it's not looking good because it eats up system resources) and want to know if it is possible to use the Google Voice number AND have my regular phone number forward it's voicemail to Google Voice?
Does anyone know the number I need to put in to the forwarding option? Thanks.
Do you have my faves? Theres another thread like this with lots of info, hold on.
