Gmail Tasks

Those of us who have grown up using outlook have probably has to sacrifice a little if we upgraded to Android from A Windows Mobile device. One of the main features that I miss from my HTC Touch is the Tasks that is built right in and would sync with my desktop client.

Google may be on its way to adding Tasks to Android. This week they just launched the feature for Gmail. When you are logged into your account, go to Settings > Labs > Tasks. (it should be the first one at the top). You can even connect a task to a specific e-mail. I'm hoping the next feature will be connecting tasks to your calendar. Once they have all the kinks worked out, I'm imagine it will make it's way onto our Android phones.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a GTasks widget to put right under my clock on my G1 desktop.

I wonder why they didn't already put a quick-use Task lister into Calender. (paper and pen suffices? unless you want to 'share' - which btw would be killer)

Anyways, I just hope Google doesn't spam their products with features. Gets kinda cluttered and inconsistent UI.

There is a simple application in Android market called gTasks

GTasks, unfortunately the app became useless the moment I had no internet connection. This happend more than once.
