for the gmail app to send emails and the status says "sending" you must click refresh in order for it to go thru
I have been having some major issues. I posted a separate thread for the issues with dowloading apps being so slow but I figured these problems deserved their own thread.
Just this past week the embedded Gmail app on my phone stopped working. I compose or forward messages but they never get to their intended recipients and either never show up in the "sent items" folder or just show that they are Sending. . . but never actually send. I am running RC30 and have the same issue on edge, 3G and WiFi. I logged onto the web Gmail and had no problems sending or receiving.
Also-- everything from my browser to the camera has been getting tons of force close messages lately. That seems strange for native apps.
What gives?
Thanks

I have done that and that is actually not true. Since having the phone (Oct 21st) I have been able to send and forward emails just by composing one and hitting the send button. There has never been a need to hit refresh.for the gmail app to send emails and the status says "sending" you must click refresh in order for it to go thru
I guess I could try that but a factory reset would suuuuuck and I refuse to believe that I will have to replace my phone. There has to be another answer.Pull the battery, dude. Pulling the battery always fixed the wacky crap on my Blackberries. I'll bet that'll work for you. Then, try a factory reset. Then call TMO for your first replacement
Yes there is, like pulling the battery.
OK I pulled the battery- no change- is there a way to un-sync and then re-sync the gmail app? Like a reboot of just the e-mail?
Well i answere my own question by turning off the gmail sync and then turing it back on. no change though. has no one else had this problem?
yeah, thats what i was coming here to see.looks like its just us!
looks like mine hasn't synced in 4 days
Has anyone else had this happen to them? I feel I have tried everything- I can only get my native Gmail app to send mail if I send it then go into the sent folder and click on it again- and even then it doesn't work all the time. HELP PLEASE
