I hadn't posted this earlier, because ... well ... life gets busy sometimes

But .. I have been having an issue with my G1 never connecting 3G in KNOWN good 3G areas. Verified good areas, by a friend with a G1.

The solution was ultra simple -- my SIM card was simply too old. I've been using the same Voicestream SIM since 2001, and apparently they're not totally cool with the G1. I dropped by the T-mobile store, and they happily cloned my data over to a new SIM and sent me on my way.
