G1 wont boot after OTA cupcake.

I originally was rooted and had JF ADP 1.5 but whenever i rebooted it would hang at the flashing android. I spent a whole evening un-rooting downgrading to RC7-rc9 to manualy install 1.5. Rebooted my phone today and it hang at android again. Re-did the entire process but left it on stock RC9 and recieved the OTA cupcake, Needed to reboot and yet again it hangs at the android screen! What in the hell is going on!

If you saw flashing android (little green guy) you did not have ADP1.5. It has a kind of steel blue text only graphic.

It took almost 5 minutes for mine to fire up the first time when I installed ADP1.5. Perhaps try sitting the phone side and being stuck for awhile.

yeah it'll take while for it to run all the processes, upgrade, such and such.

My thoughts (which may not be accurate) would be that as long as you see animation on the screen that is "hanging" you probably aren't actually hanging. Try exercising a little patience... make a bowl of oatmeal or something.

It was ADP 1.5 had the silver android just the same as the OTA, and yes it is hanging. I left it for a good 10 minutes before. Its not the same as the long first boot after updating. I've just had to reinstall over again. So now im on stock 1.5, but cannot turn it off or i lose everything

You're on UK stock 1.5? Do you have an update.zip to flash to stock or did you use nandroid?

Its done it again! I had tor reboot because the market was saying 'no access' something about my wireless account. Now again im stuck on this infinate android screen!!! Anyone help out atall? This has happened on JF ADP 1.5 and the stock OTA 1.5

take a deep breath and relax. it's only a message board. did you try wiping the phone at all?
