if you get the mini usb to 3.5mm jack and plug that into a radio with that function it shuold work. doubt it would charge but its the same plug so maybe.
Not sure if this question was already asked but will there be a way to play songs from your G1 to your car via direct connection or through a radio frequency? And if they do, will it charge your phone at the same time? It would be nice if it did.

If you have a receiverin the car that supports a Line-In then, with the proper mini-usb to 3.5mm adapter, you can plug in your G1 without an issue. By doing it this way you will not be able to charge the phone at the same time. If you look on the Android Store on AC the two converters available explicitly say that they do not support charging.
Due to the vast ways phones can be powered, connected, etc its very unlikely we'll ever see any sort of solution integrated into the car stereo (like an ipod ready receiver), but you may be able to use a 3-in-1 adapter (http://store.androidcommunity.com/co...-176--3571.htm) which would allow you to plug both a 3.5mm audio cable to the line in on your receiver and a mini-USB at the same time (plug a car charger in there) but I have no clue how that would affect the hardware of the phone.

My Dash (which I dropped in a glass of milk about a month before the G1 was announced, forcing me to revert back to my horrible samsung slider phone) came with a splitter type adapter that you plugged into the mini-usb port, and it had 2 mini-usb ports on it.
1 was to connect your headset (or headphones, or headphone adapter, etc)
and the other was to connect a charger...
I haven't even paid attention to what's in the G1 box, but I doubt this will be included with the G1. But, thankfully, I still have mine... since I can't very well sell a milky Dash![]()
My receiver supports A2DP and AVRCP so once the bluetooth stack in Android is improved upon that's how my music/calls will be routed through my car. For now I can use the Aux jack I installed and wired to my receiver.
Nevermind radio, I want to know if Pandora.com will make an App for Android as they did for the iPhone.

I have a DASH and I listen to music in my car by hooking it up to a USB stereo adapter ( http://store.androidcommunity.com/co...2-45--2373.htm) and plugging that into a radio receiver I picked up at Target. I have sweet Bose stereo speakers and it sounds great!![]()
