    Default G1 keyboard buttons ?

So I got my G1 in today and I love so far. The only thing so far Im worried about are my keyboard buttons. For example the R, E, F and D keys are pretty flush mounted compared to the rest of the buttons. Its not that bad I can still press them for the most part. Is anyone elses like that ? ? ?

I wasn't even aware of that. But yea, they do seem much more flush than the rest of the keys...but I had to look hard to realize it.

thats probably the number one compalint of my G1. Stupid keys are way to flush with the reset of the phone! grrrrAll my keys are equally flush. From your post it seems like only a couple of your keys might be recessed in..

Yes its only in that section along those keys. I mean its not that bad but the keys are already pretty flush as it is and having them like a millimeter more flushed doesnt help heh. I think ima take it to a T-Mobile store this week and see what they say about it. So far yea that would be the only thing I kinda dislike about it are the keys being so flush mounted. Should of made it more like the sidekick or something.

I'm happy with the keyboard thusfar. I'm generally a fan of a good predictive text client over a crammed qwerty keyboard on a mobile device (which I'm used to being made fun of for), but I like the g1 keyboard better than any of the blackberrys I've used and the Dash. I think it's due to the spacing, and I also have a personal preference for flatter keys. I'm not a fan of hard, nubby keys.

People have pointed out to me that on actual keyboards (when using computers) the way I type is weird. My fingers lay pretty much flat and move up and down the keyboard with the pads of my fingers touching the keys and my knuckles almost paralell to the keyboard. I dunno if that translates into the way I use keyboards on mobile devices and skews my key preferences.
