    Default Faulty Volume Control?

I've been having some issues with the ringer/media volume control. Sometimes the volume just drops significantly even though I have the volume maxed out. I have to restart the phone to get my volume back... Anyone else have difficulties with this?

Yes. Some audio sources have absolutely blaring audio that hurts my ears and others are a whisper. I thought it was the associated audio codec being used, but maybe it's more random than that?

well its even with the little beep that the phone makes when you increase the volume. At max level sometimes, the beep is barely audible. Then I restart the phone, and the beep is much louder.

what apps do you have on your phone? I remember having this issue after a certain one was installed, don't remember which one, but once it was removed the issue stopped.

I'm having the same issue. All my alert notifications are barely audible. I got a text that was an audio file and had to practically stick the damn phone in my ear canal to hear it. Also have REALLY low volume on all the streamfurious channels. Didn't even think to just reset the phone...sometimes I'm an idiot. Will try now but glad I'm not the only one having this issue. Was about to go to tmobile today b/c of this but we got like 6" of snow.

I have the same problem. It feels like it just has to do with the phone not being ready yet in the loaded app for me to start playing with the volume and I do. I say this because it often will still list the previous volume control (ie phone/ringer or media) and I will cram it down to prevent annoying those around me, but it will affect my previous screen's volume, yet still apply it to the new screens volume where the bar is set much higher.

if that makes any sense. Sorry in a hurry...

let me know if you find a fix or if that seems right to you.

I should also bring up the fact that often times the volume bar indicator will remain in place when I try to raise or lower it shortly after starting or leaving an app..

OK i think the app was either visual voicemail, call record, something that could control audio. List some more apps that have to do with sound control maybe it will jog my memory, I have done a few factory resets since then so not all the apps I downloaded are still showing up

I definitely have one of those: visual voicemail. I would think that Locale could affect things unexpectedly too.
