good question cuz i have the 35$ plan and im sharing with my bro.. will he aso get unlimted text messaging or what
I'm currently on the unlimited family text messaging for 4 phones. Once I receive my g1 for one of my lines, can I only get the $25 plan and still have unlimited text messaging via my unlimited family texting plan? or will t-mobile remove my family texting messaging plan?

Before i pre-ordered my phone, I called and spoke to a CSR and was informed that the family messaging is an account service and the data/messaging plan is a single line service; T-mobile allows the account services to trump line services, therefore it is to your advantage to save the 10 bucks and get the $25 plan and use the family messaging.
I am on a family plan with 4 phones and unlimited texts also. In order for you to have unlimited texts on your G1 you have to pay $35 a month for their text and data plans. No the unlimited texts on the family plan will not apply. You will be losing that. Now it will be $20 a month for the rest of the family for unlimited texts and $35 for the G1.
That's not what I was told and I called 3 times to verify. I was told to get the $25 plan because I already had the unlimited Family text messaging and that would still give me unlimited text messaging even though the $25 gives u 400.
And how do you figure this? As Phlame217 mentioned, the unlimited messaging plan is an account level service. That takes precedence over any line level services. Two T-Mobile reps have confirmed this for me. You are paying for unlimited messaging for ALL LINES on your account. I'm just hoping that the $20/month internet/hotspot plan is available to us once the phones come out so I can keep my monthly bill the same and not have to pay an extra $5 for 400 messages I already have.
Yes if you're on an unlimited family text plan go with the 25$ option, you already have unlimited texting.
If it works like some of the older plans to, where you get four hundred text included free and add a $4.99 text package for 400 text, you get 800 total. SO, you would have the options of getting 800 text for $30 as well.
the rep said they are not sure yet. but they will get training on the g1 phone and to call back later
he way it is only 20$ for the data plan
