eclipse 3.5 and android sdk... "missing "

hi there!

i'm just starting to code for android, so i'm kinda new here... and i just ran into the first problem while installing the sdk within eclipse 3.5.1 on my ubuntu 9.10 mashine...

thing is, eclipse claimes that there would be some package be missing and refuses therefore to install the sdk:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
  Software being installed: Android Development Tools 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704)
  Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704) requires 'org.eclipse.wst.sse.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found

i found some "solutions" for this on the official pages, wich won't work for me as they are meant to deal with problems from versions 3.3 and 3.4 - and i'm using 3.5... (http://developer.android.com/guide/a...ipsecomponents). no really - i tried them - they won't fix anything for me...

is there anyone who knows how to fix this?

Go to xda-developers.com go to the forums, then down to the dream section then the android development and make this post they can help.

Anyway, I forgot to answer your question...

Are you running a 64 bit version of Windows? If so you have to NOT put Eclipse into C:\Programs Files (x86)\ but some other folder of your own. E.g. C:\Eclipse. You should then be able to install the ADT.
