    Default Droid re-boots 5+ times a day!

My new Motorola Droid re-boots (shuts off and powers back up) several times a day, always when I am trying to push a button or do something on the phone. Is this a common problem and does anyone know of any solutions?

I agree - this is certainly not normal. However, there are a whole load of apps that are currently incompatible with the new Android phones that have different screen sizes. Some of these are causing major headaches for people.

Did this problem appear immediately when you got the phone? Or only after installing some apps?

Not sure - I got apps pretty quickly after purchase - I removed car locator and weather app -- we'll see if that helps thanks

Slightly off topic... but Car Locator. I removed that recently too. Not because it was causing a problem, but because I realised that another app, called "GPS Status" by EclipSim, has a little known ability to do exactly same thing (mark a location, return to it via radar or map view), but it doesn't expire and it's free, and it has some other very useful features such as being able to see a really cool GPS status screen with all the satellite signal strengths and various bits of information on it. You can also share a location by SMS or e-mail.
