Downloading mp3s from the browser, but "Cannot download..."

I have this same problem. I used to have Steel installed, but removed it. Now I can't download MP3 files and even open certain links. This is driving me crazy.

Removing Steel really seemed to hose me. I get the message "Cannot download. The content being downloaded is not supported on the phone." all the time now.

Yes, it's android bug. Browser doesn't recognize some response headers. For example, if it sends header 'Content-type:application/x-download', download will fail, but if same server sends 'Content-type: application/*' download will ok

I started having this proble too. From a site that I used to download movies from with my G1 all the time. It seems since I installed Haykaro's ROM I have been getting this....

I use mp3fiesta.com and have no problems downloading tracks
