Does anyone have a resolution 4 free real aim on g1

Someone please clear this up or find a resolution to have real aim on the G1 with it using data instead of text messaging.....

i think this is crucial to the success of the G1 becuz some many ppl are leaving they're sidekick....thinkin that the messaging is going to be the same but its not from what im seeing and hearing!

i didnt even know people aimed anymore.
i know when i was a kid or like when i was in middle school me and my friends use to aim a lot.
but not anymore...were seniors now...we just text.

but my little cousins aim lol.

A lot of Americans use AIM for their instant messaging needs.
As opposed to Europeans liking MSN more.
Asians liking ICQ/MSN more...
It's all preference.
Don't worry there's bound to be some developer that's going to be creating an app for it.

ur a senior and u dont AIM? where i live its still used and i just turned 19...generation Y or generation "tech" will be using these technologies for a while...the generation below me will even be crazier...just wait technology will be so integrated in our lives as we get older itll never go away

look guys, there are half a million questions we still have about the G1, part of not knowing is the fun, yea it may cost you a 1 month total big bill, but then you will learn, or we will learn together, thats why we are here! If anybody has swapped at least 3 or 4 phones in the last couple of years, you know what im talking about! Just the mere fact the we are here at AC, means we do have a clue when it comes to, what will be the best phone regardless, in the market.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yea i was a little worried cuz imma sidekick user and i've always had an sidekick and i've never seen a mobile device wit better instant messagin capabilities.....

so not to have aim would really suck since i've been using it all my life lolllll but thanks i guesss we'll wait for that developer....

i aim'ed when i had aolhell years and years ago, then i kept the user name when i dropped aol, and used it since, with my pc's and stuff, now i switched to a mac last year, should of done it years ago, and i use it with ichat now. so it would be cool to keep on using it with android. ive got lots os contacts.
