Cupcake, do it yourself update(FROM YOUR G1, NO PC needed)

I used this update method with no problem but now I am noticing a very annoying lag when using my phone. When I touch my screen, scroll it, or input text theres a delay. Using the browser is the worst. Ive tried uninstalling the apps on my phone to see if they were the cause and to no aval. Any ideas? Is this something OTA updaters are having a problem with as well? Any help is much appreciated thanks.

Yeah some G1's keep getting a download error, you can just keep retrying, clear the browser cache, cookies and history, restart the phone then try again

I'm having the aforementioned problems after installing cupcake. My question is are others who updated this way having similar problems? The lag lingers no matter what I'm doing with the phone.

Still dont have your cupcake update yet and you don't wanna root your phone? Well HERE you go, im attaching the link to download the cupcake update file and simple instruction for you to install it on your phone. i did it, took like 5 mins. VERY SIMPLE

1. Rename the archive to update

2. Copy the file to the SD Card.
Note : Connect the phone to desktop and then transfer the file. Don't take out the SD card and use the card reader.

3. Turn off the phone. Press and hold HOME and POWER button. The phone will start in recovery mode. You should see an exclaimation sign when it starts.

4. Press Alt + L, it will take you to the boot menu,

5. Press Alt + S, to start the update process. It will take a while so be patient.

6. When the update completes, it will prompt you to press HOME + BACK to reboot.

7 . After you reboot, the update will finalize and automatically reboot.

you can if you want to, i perfer to do it on the computer because its a faster process and get your cupcake faster than doing it through your phone and getting confuse on the steps of doing it...but you can also do it by your phone if you decide to do it than way..

Finally installed this at 3:13 AM, it concluded at 3:18 AM

Its now loading up, thanks so much you guys...
in the process I accidentally ate moldy bred sitting on my table =/
