contacts sync error "...currently experiencing problems..." with red exclamation

Theres an easy fix for this: just go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All> enter to Contacts Storage and Contacts Sync Adapter on both do a clear data and Force stop. as soon as you do that everything Syncs back to normal with Google!!!

I did what you said and it worked a treat. Of course it cleared my contacts but I was able to resync them from gmail and they were ressurected. The only other thing to note was that I was unable to Force "Contacts Storage" to stop but that didn't seem to matter.
