Changing the back cover?

I'm definitely getting the white G1, only thing is I don't really like the grey battery cover.

I know it's supposed to match the keyboard but what is everyone's input on replacing the grey cover of a white G1 to a black cover (from a blk G1)?

White looks very nice even two-tone colored. I think black back cover would stand out too much. If white is preference I am sure there will be white color back covers which should minimize two tone effect

I agree, it might be too much of a color contrast.

Maybe I'll just get the grey cover professionally painted white!

Ok after doing some searching online, I've noticed there are two versions of the white G1.

First is an "all white" G1 with a white back cover.

Second one is a "two-tone" white G1 with a grey back cover.

I assume the one with the grey back cover will be the one being sold at the launch date since we've all heard about issues with the white paint chipping.
