Not really worried, people who determine the limits on health measurements leave a ton of room between whats the limit and whats actually dangerous
This was being discussed in a another thread, so I moved it here to avoid the thread-jack. In short, are you concerned about cell phone power and the alleged side-effects such as brain cancer and reduced sperm counts?
One might argue that more power out should equal better call quality and reception (and maybe more brain cancer, but that's another thread). The iPhone puts out 0.974 W/kg (in the US, we have a max of 1.6 W/kg). From the users manual, it states that the G1 has a SAR (specific absorbsion rate) of
1.11 W/Kg @1g (Head)
1.08 W/Kg @1g (Body)
You can make your own conclusions.

i knew one day an android would kill me
If the FAA deemed a device unsafe for human use they wouldn't allow it to be released. The waves a cellphone emit aren't harmful and diminish almost instantly
I am quite concerned about these findings. seriously. no really. I am.
but i'm an ex-smoker with no vices...I need something to kill me off, right?
I don't think the research in this area is trivial and up until now I have been indifferent to cell phones and kept a PDA and felt myself at very low exposure risk. Come 10/22? well, if at all possible, I would like my casket to be embellished with purpleheart wood.
ASUS eee Pad Transformer en route!! T-mobile G2 in hand, N1 on loan to my daughter. G1 on ice.
Yes, precious...my Transformer is almost here...now if only T-mobile would roll out Gingerbread for my G2 already!!
To be quite honest, I too have thought for the longest time that these claims were from the tin foil hat people (maybe they wear them for a good reason). But there has been so much research on in, that I'm not so sure that it can be discounted so quickly. I will still use it, but I like the convenience of the BT headset, so I will probably use that most of the time. So, no I won't go crazy and grab the phone from my four year old daughter's hands if I see her going to use it--I don't think it's *THAT* serious, but I plan to limit the amount of close contact time.

Wow...
Thats kinda scary and morbid dude. I've never really been concerned with it really, but from reading some of this i'm beginning to wonder...
Maybe i should call T-Mobile and tell them to keep their weapon of mass distruction.
Cheers,
