Yes I know that Ipaq 3975 is very very old compared to other pdas.
However being that a relative gave it to me a year ago and that I am a poor collage student it would be very awsome to have on my so called legacy device. furthermore any person in the broke world could use it.

I know it is probably possible so if so, How do I compile android os on a win xp professional service pack 3 to be able to be installed on my ipaq 3975?

Don't know anything about IPAQs, however 5 minute google search revealed that while you can get Linux to run on Ipaq the current specs are inadequate to even attempt to port Android. It only has 64MB RAM / 48MB Flash ROM. The initial Android device was released with 192MB RAM / 256MB Flash ROM.
