Why is there no file transfer or any of the other goodes over bluetooth ?

I think because that feature (A2DP or OBEX) hasn't been implemented yet...

They are still working on the bluetooth APIs so they removed that functionality. It'll most likely be part of a major update rather than some of the recent more minor updates. Probably something like Android 1.1. But they promised it will be coming.
