auto on/off, timed?

is there an auto on and off function, for say when you go to sleep, it'll turn off at midnight or whenever, and turn on at say 6am, etc.?

didn't see it anywhere on the phone.

that'd be awesome though I don't think it can turn on after it turns itself off but I know next to nothing about the G1 except for enjoying it

On a related note, does the alarm ring with the ringer set to silent? I have a feeling it doesn't.

I guess the point would be to not have the phone ring when you're sleeping but still be able to use the alarm.

I'd rather have an option or app that would silent my phone until time for my alarm. That way it'd be on for immediate use in case of emergencies, but silent, so that errant drunk-dialing friends don't wake you.

Locale does this. You can turn off the ringer and wifi and gps based on time periods. Not just GPS locations.

actually, i had the ringer on silent today, and my alarm still sounded at full volume. awesome!
