I did an update on CompareEverywhere this morning, only one ive done... when I launched the app it told me an update was available, I clicked ok and it brought me to the app store, it installed over the old version.
When an application that I have already installed on my phone is updated on the market, how will I update my software? Will I have to uninstall the app first? Will I ALWAYS be able to install over it, or will this be entirely up to the developer? Will there be means for notification (other than email registration) that an application has been updated?

So it looks like it's up to the developer to code the update method. Interesting.
