Every phone has its flaws. You can't take anyone who bashes the iPhone seriously. Really. They just don't know. Its an ongoing battle that I am not getting into.
I like the way shirt looks like - good quality look it seems to me...
Anyway, about this iPhone vs G1 war ... here is couple Qs and As that I will come up with and you decide is it worth it to be childish and get into war of comments what is better.
I do not use iPhone - did for a couple of days played on it (my friend's iPhone) but that's about it - and I do see worth of it...
Now, before I start my Q&As everyone should think about this questions:
- what do I need the device for? (phone, electronics, etc)
- require great product, expect to pay good price. Not ultra expensive, not very cheap...
- how it will fit my lifestyle...
Now, after you answer these questions you already got answers that gets you close to one of each of these phones... iPhone or G1 ...
Me personally don like iPhone - but if I had it maybe I would speak differently... I do not have the phone and really cannot say much good or bad... Now G1 - it fitted my budget (100% satisfied), data plan was no brainer - I took it, options and future capabilities fit my lifestyile and my needs much better then the iPhone device - therefore I got myself G1

Which current phone can deliver an Internet experience rivalling iPhone? Why not? Critics go on about missing feature but there is more to a phone than just hi-res camera, stereo bluetooth, sure some folks can see value in that but a lot of folks also see value in mobile Internet use. Its because of iPhone and now Android that mobile internet is taking off/going to take off in any real way with general consumers who don’t want to struggle with small screens and keypads to use the net on the go.
The issue with iPhone or Android is not what they DON’T offer but what they DO that other phones don’t, so talk of missing features misses the point entirely.
Since both are relatively young platforms and Android fresh off the press perhaps unrealistic to expect it will deliver everything from day 1. As it develops it will become a more solid offering. For those who expect perfection and all the features better to stick with mature platforms that offer them now and let early adopters deal with the inevitable issues and missing features.
There is a market and product for everyone. Let the companies fight, not the users. We don't benefit from their profits and I never get the pointless warring. Just my 2 cents.
Here's why I don't like Iphone:
Apple's decision to control every single little thing about it. First and foremost, the whole point of it in the first place was to be an ipod phone, yet for some reason it doesn't have A2dp? It was one thing if it was because of new tech and it would come out later, but it's Apple's direct purpose to not have it available. It's the same with cut/paste. Apple does not put it in on purpose, just like they severely limit the download capabilities of the browser.
It's not about the phone itself, because don't get me wrong, the interface is one of the best i've ever seen on a mobile phone. It's about the company, and the severe restrictions.
And in my opinion, the only reason that the Iphone sells so much like it does, is because of what I like to call the "apple fad". Owning an apple product is the "hip" thing right now, weather it be a macbook or ipod or iphone. There are other devices out there in each category which are better, and usually cheaper, but there are also people out there (a majority of the younger generation) that follow fads, and it's heading that way in a spiral.
From an intelligent technological perspective, the Iphone is all flash, and no real substance when compared to the capabilities of other devices, and that's mainly because of the company that controls it.
a good way to explain the craze is by this comedy short here:
