Android G2 hands on! Close to perfection?

i think the HTC Magic looks pretty cool ! i didnt think it was going to be called the "G2" as the G phones were reserved by T-mobile?

Overall i like it, the cupcake update looks pretty nice and im glad they have tweaked the screen to give it more touch responsiveness and more screen brightness ! pity HTC have left in that Stupid EXTUsb instead of having a standalone 3.5mm jack though !

the only thing i can see being a very minor issue is the Cupcakes VK is portrait mode only and from what ive seen there doesnt seem to be Auto-rotate at all like from what i can get from my JF 1.41 RC8 ? unless that was switched off of course !

if it proves to be great, and can be unlocked to T-Mobile UK then i will definately purchase this and move my T-Mobile G1 simcard and SD card into that and use it

I'm amazed at how close in size it is to the iPhone!

Also, it has video.... soooooo..... when's video coming to the G1?

Nice phone, overall! (aside from the color, which isn't to my taste)

it's alright. don't like it too much. rather have a keyboard and like the looks of the G1 better. but if it does get released with cupcake or parts of cupcake then we can surely get it on the G1 as well

im definitely gonna pass. as pretty as it is it doesnt have a physical keyboard, which is why i got the G1 and left the iphone...
