AIM. Why is everyones Screen name my name?

Everyone who IMs me shows up as my screen name IMing myself. If I start the convo and I IM someone when they reply it comes up in a different window as my screen name? How can I fix this so I know who Im talking to??

i had the same problem i deleted my name off of my contact list. then i went into the settings menu then aplications then manage aplications. then i went down to the IM and hit clear data which cleared my log in and everything for im and when i signed back in it worked fine. not sure why it happens but thats the fix.
