Ahome app

Hello!

First off, my G1 is not rooted, so there goes the memory crap! lol I've been wanting to download Ahome for my device but I was wondering how much memory would that leave me....would the program take a lot out of the internal memory? Also, is there a section in this forum that states the difference between Ahome, Open Home and DXTop?

You can find much more info with minimal effort. Do some searches of the forum. Check out their websites. Do some Googling.

I've tried 'em all and settled on Open Home, but to each his own. Sweeter Home looks very interesting but is so different that it's kinda hard to get a grasp of. It's in a very beta state of development now anyway. Maybe later I'll get more serious about learning how to use all the considerable tricks Sweeter Home will do.

None of these replacements by themselves is hard on memory. Open Home Full is 2mb and I think the others are in the same neighborhood. Of course, if you download lotsa themes, icon packs, etc. the total memory amount dedicated to any desktop replacement will increase. I always try to keep my installed apps trimmed down - uninstall anything I don't actually use.

I Was Going To Ask The Same Thing And If Your Concerned About Memory You Should Just Root Your Phone, It's The Best Thing You Could Ever Do To Your G1. Sliced Bread<Rooted G1.
