I want to tether my G1 and tried to follow the instructions here http://graha.ms/androidproxy/ but when it gets to the part that you plug in your G1 to the usb on the laptop (Acer Aspire w/ XP) and the "found new hardware" bubble is suppposed to pop up... it never does. It doesn't even make that dong-dong noise like when you plug in any kind of hardware. I am really having trouble here!!! Has anyone dealt w/ this & know whats going on??? PS.. this is my 1st attempt at anything like this... I have always have a desktop.
