why dont u just get the apps to sd app? it will do everything for u automatically
I am following this how-to from JF's blog:
http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.ph...uro_Apps_to_SD
I have formatted the SD card using ubuntu, and that's about as far as I've gotten...nothing else seems to work...
I am running JF 1.5 on my G1, btw...
I placed the busybox file onto the root of my sd card.
I opened cmd.exe and typed "adb remount" and received "remount succeeded"
I typed "adb shell" and received "#"
I typed "dd if=/sdcard/busybox of=/system/xbin/busybox" and received "can't open '/system/xbin/busybox': Read-only file system"
What is this?? I have root access...as far as I can tell...and when I type "adb root" I get "adbd is already running as root"
What is the deal???
why dont u just get the apps to sd app? it will do everything for u automatically
ALL White G1
Cupcake
Cyan 3.6.3
Hero Theme 1.4.5
apps 2 SD | 85 Mb free
that seemed to work! I wasn't able to complete step 3, but all of the apps are on the sd card!
In the future when I download apps will they be saved to the sd card, or do I need to run Appstosd every time I dl an app?
No. Once the symlinks are set up, every app that you install goes to the SD card.
also if you factory reset your G1 or do a wipe in recovery terminal. you will need to run the app again
please post all comments / questions about JF 1.5 build on the appropriate thread please.
