Well, we'll see how that goes in the morning. I picked my G1 up last tuesday.
The Upgrade fee for Tmo customers is GONE. Not a promotion. It's gone. Period. Also to anyone who upgraded in the last 14 days can call customer care and get it refunded back. So call back and save $18 which you can use to buy a bunch of downloads. I recommend Pac-Man....

And if it helps. If your in California you have 30 days from the date of purchase to get the $18 upgrade fee back.
Just remember. It's from the DAY you ORDERED the phone. Not got the phone in the mail.
So the people who pre-ordered it are screwed.
Awesome, love you too T-Mobile. Happy holidays.![]()
I wouldn't say screwed...they knew the cost when they pre-ordered. I wish I could take every purchase I make and go back for refunds when the price drops...![]()
I just find it a little rude that people pre-ordered this, and have supported them, however they are helping out the newer G1 customers more then anyone else.
No more fee, if I'm not mistaken I heard something about the headphone attachment as well with newer devices?
Oh well, nobody said life was fair.
I see what you're saying, I just think it is fair. They are giving refunds to people within 14 days (30 in CA), which is more than they need to do. And no, I am not getting my $18 back so I know where you are coming from![]()
Because you know the price when you buy it. I buy lots of things and if I wait a few months, the price is cheaper. But that is what happens when you don't wait....you run the risk of the price dropping. And they are retroactively refunding it for some customers who upgraded recently...not something they have to do.
Now if you want to talk about not fair...look at magazine subsriptions and how existing subscribers renew at a higher rate than new subscribers![]()
