100% Agreed with everthing on the list...
We got alot of time though.. I think we will be more than satisfied with the future of the g1.
As i have said in several of my post...... I think the g1 is 99% as good as the iphone and its only on v1.
However maybe i am overlooking somethings and patiently waiting for others to come...
1.Automated switch between portrait and landscape without having to open the keyboard.
2. Ahhh. Virtual keyboard would be nice for short on the go typing.
3.Once the screen shuts off in a phone call the ability to use the accelerometer to shut it back on without the need for a button press.
4.Video Player.......
5.The ability to move an application on the homepage from one page to another without having to pull it out of the shade. Can't seem to figure it out.
6.album art on my music. (probably overlooking how to do it)
7. A battery drain fix. Used the phone heavily for 1 hour and 15 mins and was down to 60% Battery. However put it on the charger for 5 and was already back up to 77%. So my assumption is that the numbers are a little off.
8.A camera that can take a half decent picture with dim lighting.
The good news is that i know alot of this is software problems not hardware. So in time it will undoubtly be fixxed.
I am very happy with the g1 and super excited about the future of the android project. I hope everyone else is to..... Just needed to rant a little.
Thanks for looking.

6. agreed
7. very much agreed
8. i have a nikon d80 dslr for that. i've never been one to take a lot of pics with my camera, if you want to take good pics, get a camera, otherwise i think it goes a decent enough job to get by

I second everything except album art (cause I never look at the player, I just listen, I know the music I play because I put it on there. Now imeem is another story, but it does tell you)
and the camera I don't think is too much. The 3mpx camera is amazing. Camera phones pretty much all suck. This takes a very nice clean image in proper light. GREAT color. GREAT detail in photo without noise. AMAZING for a camera of it's size.
But yeah...low light, not it's strong suit. Or any camera phone for that matter. And flashes on cam phones are stupid. What's it throw, like 2 feet?
Coming from a digital photography background, I'd say the cam in the G1 is the best camera phone I've used (in quality of output, maybe not in trigger mechanism)
Does anyone notice that the screen slides all the way open but isn't completely flsuh with the chin? There's like a two degree angle off center...the top left corner is down a little. Anyone else notice it?
agreed !
especially in portrait mode a virtual keyboard would be nice if you're too lazy to flip it open or rather just have it portrait, nice to have options !
i agree to this, it will be annoying having to unlock it everytime it sleeps, during a phone call it should hibernate when its on your ear &then wake up when you take it away from your ear, previous threads say that it doesn't do that. that needs to be fixed.
definitely this one, ¬ so much just a video player, a video player & recorder that records & plays with different format extensions, and also has more camera options such as zoom, color effects, etc.
definitely this one, main concern!
&this would be a lot nicer too, with a flash but obviously thats not possible lol, not built in.
OVERALL the phones great, just wish it had these.
Took me a while to figure the screen switch thing out. The shortcut you wanna drag has to be on the center of the screen.
"I'm shocked at the diversity of the people psyched for the G1. All different people united...under Android"
Sweet im glad you all agree. Damn that was some fast responses.
The accelerometer for incall is specific. sleeps but movement wakes it up. If you have ever used the iphone this is a really nice feature it stops you from accidentally pressing numbers but also makes it very easy to either swap calls, find numbers ect.. Its the small things in life that you realize how much you like until its gone.
Once again good news is that the hardware is there for most just needs a little tweak on the software hopefully the powers that be are reading the forums.
You guys have created a nice list I agree with many of them. I think in the future we will see many of these things remedied.
Divorcing Blackberry for Android....
Yeah someone in an earlier post really ranted about this. Just is what it is. Be happy the screen works as well as it does.
I worry about the durability of the phone... *knocks on wood* I dont want to be the first one to test it. Hopefully we will see some hardcases that arent to bulky.
