3gless Areas Edge G1 experience?

Hey so i am wondering alot of areas dont have 3g and may not see it for a long time if ever what will the g1 experience be like for us users? can we still do everything the 3g network can just slower? if so about how slow?

How long until we see 3g coverage like at&t has? 1 year 2 3?

the closest area with 3g is an hour away but i have edge coverage just about every where i go here in town so i hope the experience will be awesome fun and exciting.

Please help me out on this what are peoples opinions? facts? help

Rock on even a year isnt that bad the years keep flying by. i live right on I-15 the main high way from salt lake down to vegas and into cali and it seems Cell towers make most of their service's avalible pretty fast here so i am hoping for it with in a year or so.

Either way i have had 8 differnt cell phones in 4 years and just hit my 9th and kinda disapointed with the phone custom options but phone quality is nice one thing i have not heard from any one or read or seen yet is what the phone dialer looks like phone quality sounds like or any thing on the G1 that would be nice to see some info on
