3500 kbps...3G?

So I took a trip to northern virginia and ran a speed test on my g1. I am able to get up to 3500 kbps. Is this normal speed for 3G? Seems really fast compared to the 500kbps I usually get.

That's the speed alot of us are getting on the N1, must have been the new HSPA T-Mobiule is rolling out.

yea, thats normal for me here, in nyc. I range from 2000 to 5500kbps(2-5.5Mbps). its the hspa+ 3g network that tmobile has been rolling out

TMobile needs to expand their HSPA+ to all currently 3G enabled towers... and then they need to extend 3G coverage to every tower on the network. [within the next year]

In my opinion, if they do not do this then the other carriers will easily have a leg up on TMobile. I know TMobile got a late start to the whole 3G thing, and their coverage is impressive for such a late start, but they could be much better

If TMobile does those things, they will obviously be among the best data networks.
