I need help really bad I have a Galaxy S and there is an application on there that has pretty much taken over my phone. It is called Music Player version 1.1.1 it is a pink icon with a music note in it and have no ideal where it came from. When someone calls or I try to make a call the application will start itself and start playing a ringtone that I transferred from my old sims card every time I change phones.
Anyway once it starts playing it will silence the call I was in or trying to make and I am no longer in a call, it's gotten really bad it's an all day thing. So far here's what I have done: I have pulled the icon into the trash can I went into my settings and manage applications I located the app but it will not let me uninstall it so I forced stopped it. That lasted a couple of weeks then out of the blue there it was again full force so I have repeated force stop several times now but it's gotten so bad I am looking at having to get rid of the phone so today I figured it couldn't hurt any worse so I restored the entire phone to the factory defaults and that went well I thought that was a small price to pay for my phone back. It's been 3 hours since I restored and guess what? Yep it's back so now I go back into manage apps I selected all apps and in there I see the same icon on 2 different apps one is music player the other is sound player I have forced stopped again and I went and deleted the ringtone. Now the player still comes up but there is nothing to play because I deleted my media that was in the folder with the ringtone, at this point I don't know what else to do I need a miracle.
What you need is a factory restore and start your phone from scratch. Boot your phone in recovery mode and wipe and restart. Your problem will be gone for sure.
Make sure you backup everything important first.
