All phone contacts suddenly disappeared

If you have a phone with Verizon Wireless, there is an application called "Back-up Assistant." When your contacts are wiped off of phone due to contact wiping issue, many times what happens is that those contacts are also sent to the trash can on your back-up assistant account and gmail account (this is why when you try to resync with accounts, nothing shows up because your gmail and backup assistant accounts recognize the change in your contacts and sync accordingly). To retrieve those contacts, log onto your My Verizon account through verizonwireless.com, highlight the my verizon tag at the top of your screen with your mouse and select back-up contacts from choices that appear from the pulldown. Then click on the trash can (you should see the number of your contacts next to it). Select all contacts, then there is an action pull down on the right, select "undelete." Once contacts are undeleted, then click on "sync to phone" on the top right hand side. It will take a couple of minutes for the sync process to happen. The contact files are completely wiped from phone, so unless you have some type of backup account, your contacts are erased for good. Hope this helps!

Please help - this seems to have happened to others with the Glalxy S. On Saturday, 3MAR2012 everything appeared normally in textx messaging. On Sunday morning 4MAR2012 I noticed my texts numbers did not have names associated to them in texts. All of the numbers I have added over the last 5 months are no longer there! Please help! I hae tried reviewing Contats > Menu > More > Display Options and re-ticking all of the locations I might have placed contacts. I try always to enter them directly yo the phone. But just in case I checked pulling them from the SD card - but it shows that no SD card is available. I see in this forum that this is normal.

Please help. I have had the same mobile phone number with Verizon for years. I need those contacts and I always thought I was doing the contact backup correctly!

This happened to me 2 days ago. Didn't touch the phone, and then all of a sudden every single contact I ever had was gone. I've tried the display options and all that but they've just mysteriously disappeared. There were over a thousand contacts on the phone so this is kind of annoying! Anyone know why this happened or figured out how to get them back? And no, I never backed them up on Kies or gmail, I did try, but for some reason I was unable to do it on Kies.

First of all carrying a samsung phone looks very cheap. secondly it feels like very shame while telling anyone that i have a smartphone and i have such and such issues. This has become common in samsung phones only.
Recent Nokia windows phones have exceeded the world of smartphones with amazing and powerful features and advantages. Doont waste your money in a phone that has issues, rather you can select your smartphone in a much better way and with a reasonable price.
